  • Most Puerto Ricans are very nice to visitors. They have the habit of speaking and helping out strangers with any problem they share. If you have any doubt that comes up, you can ask a local and they will try to help out.

Though Puerto Ricans have the habit of using all of the lanes of roads and expressways as the fastest lane, meaning we use the lanes as they benefit at the moment to reach our destination. The most common peak times for drivers on the street are between 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p m.

  • In 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝘄𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀, regular gasoline prices run between $0.70 to $0.90 per liter or $2.65 to $3.41 per gallon. In 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝘄𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀, premium gasoline prices run between $0.75 to $1.05 per liter or $2.84 to $3.97 per gallon.

Where is Fajardo located in Puerto Rico?

  • Fajardo is one of the cities located in Puerto Rico's East coast. It is around 45 to 60 minutes away from Puerto Rico's capital, San Juan. Most airline flights arrive at San Juan.
  • Fajardo has one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Bioluminescent Bay, and is neighbor to the cities of Luquillo with the Carabalí Rainforest Park and Ceiba with the Ferry Terminal that gives access to the islands of Culebra and Vieques.

  • Please make sure the queen room's windows remain closed to keep the room cold
  • Please make sure that the curtains are fastened by their holdback ribbons when the balcony doors are open
  • Please make sure to leave all remote controls and respective keys in the kitchen basket as found
  • Please make sure you do not play, move or budge the queen room mirror

Where is the Bioluminescent Bay located?


  • Companies offer kayaking tours and will take you through the narrow and long canal to the bioluminescent bay. Just make sure to book your tour during a night with a new moon to better appreciate the glow!


Where is the Isle of Icacos located?


  • Companies offer a catamaran sailing cruise with complementary music, lunch, drinks, and snorkeling equipment to admire the abundant coral reefs in the Isle.


Where is the Seven Seas Beach located?


  • Entrance: $5 all-day parking
  • Hours: OCT - APRIL from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. | MAY - SEPT from 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.


  • Beach has a few local restaurants at a 2-mins walking distance. Plenty of restaurants 5-10 mins away. You can also camp on the beach for $10 a night.


Where is El Yunque National Forest located?



  • Entrance: Some free parking or $2 all-day parking per car. Reservations are needed to control number of guests visiting during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Where is the La Zanja natural pool located?


  • Please visit the natural pool with caution; it will be by your own risk and no type of security guard will take you. To get to La Zanja, you have to hike about 30 mins from the La Matita beach. 


  • At some point, you will have to get your feet wet crossing the water to get there and the last 5 mins are the most challenging, but being able to swim in this natural beauty is worth the effort.


Where is the Las Tinajas Waterfall located?


  • Please visit the waterfall with caution; it will be by your own risk and no type of security guard will take you. If you rather spend your days swimming in the river rather than the beach, then set Las Tinajas Waterfall as your destination. 


  • Las Tinajas is one of the top waterfalls in Puerto Rico. Spend a day relaxing or experiencing the thrill of jumping from a rope swing. Just make sure to ask the locals how to do it safely.

  • Las Cabezas de San Juan Lighthouse, also called 'Cape San Juan Light', is one of the 15 lighthouses around Puerto Rico and it’s located inside a Nature Reserve in Fajardo. This lighthouse sports a neoclassical style and from its observation deck, you can appreciate great views of the coast.


  • Tip: As of Fall 2021, the lighthouse is temporarily closed due to renovations, but visitors can still explore other areas of the Nature Reserve. Las Cabezas de San Juan Nature Reserve is home to Laguna Grande Bio Bay, mangroves, coral reefs, a dry forest, and beaches. There are even records of sightings of whales from here.

Playa Colorá

  • 20 mins away from Seven Seas Beach, you’ll find a beautiful hidden beach to take a romantic walk. Playa Colorá is a small beach with scenic views, clear waters, and distinctive red-ish sand.  The beach is never crowded, so it’s good to enjoy the ocean breeze on your own. 
  • [WARNING]: Playa Colorá is not a beach for swimming. It’s home to strong rip currents that are dangerous to even the most experienced swimmer. There aren’t any facilities nor any lifeguards. Go to the beach at your own risk and mostly just to take pictures and enjoy the scenery.
